Experience bringing the joy of Christmas to a child this year.

As a child, I vividly remember going to bed on Christmas Eve with excited anticipation of a pile of presents under the tree on Christmas morning. Most of us were fortunate to be spoiled with memorable gifts and special times with our family. Sadly, there are kids right here in our community who won’t wake up to presents under their tree.

The Sharing Christmas Shopping Spree was founded in 2016 with that in mind. Our mission is to connect people who want to support local families in need over the holidays, and let them see exactly where their donation goes. Each year, we give kids from these families the chance to shop for presents for under their tree. Every child is paired with a volunteer who walks the store with them and helps find gifts for everyone on their list. Together they wrap each present, and the child heads home with gifts so everyone wakes up to presents on Christmas morning.

We facilitate the event so supporters can give to a verified source and volunteers can be there in person to make a child’s day. No experience needed, just a willingness to help a kid have a great morning.
